"Welcome to Ghana"

Notice: Ghana registrations resumed...

In order to ensure full compliance with the National Accreditation Board of Ghana (NAB) ACPA temporarily suspended all Ghana registrations on April 26th 2010. This action was deemed necessary by the ACPA Executive Board in order to ensure compliance with the NAB rules for Ghana.
However; due to a high demand from Ghanaian Accountants wishing to work outside of Ghana ACPA has now resumed registrations on a limited basis.
The ACPA Executive Board unanimously approved this policy change as appropriate given that the ACPA examinations have been approved by the Financial Services Skills Council (FSSC) in the United Kingdom since November 15th 2010.
Ghanaian Accountants seeking ACPA membership can once again do so if they are considering working or studying outside of Ghana at some point in the future.
Ghanaian Accountants seeking ACPA membership should send their registration forms, and copy documents directly to the ACPA Membership Officer. Instructions can be found on the Registration Page.

New Rules and a New Era for Ghana

The Association of Certified Project Accountants, incorporating the Association of Certified Corporate Executive Accountants, are pleased to announce that ACPA has recently applied to the National Accreditation Board in Ghana to be officially recognized as a Professional Membership and Examination Body within the territory of The Republic of Ghana.
The application was formally made on September 21st 2009, and the negotiations are being managed directly by our Country Manager Felix Hanson FCCEA, with the assistance of two of the ACPA Ghana Council Members.
As part of our commitment to the Government and Accountants of Ghana ACPA has introduced specific rules for Members and Students residing in Ghana, which include modifications to; Exemptions, Membership Registration rules, and the method and form of Examinations.

“Ghana is one of the most important emerging economic powers in Africa, and ACPA wishes to be a part of a growing center of excellence concerning the development of Project and Corporate Accounting within Ghana. We are very confident that the Ghanaian Government, in this case represented by the National Accreditation Board, recognizes the full value of Project and Corporate Accountants and will support us in our efforts to introduce and expand the awareness of these special skills and qualifications to the people and businesses of Ghana.”

Robert Collings, ACPA Executive Chairman and CEO - September 21st 2009.
